Scope

This notice covers subscribing to and receiving the e-mail newsletter “knezins.com — jaunumi”.

Data we process

Your e-mail address. The language and the page where you subscribed, and the time of subscription and confirmation. Technical connection data (such as your IP address) received by the e-mail provider when you subscribe. Newsletter statistics: whether an e-mail was opened and whether a link in it was clicked.

Purpose

To send you e-mails about new articles and public authorities’ replies to freedom-of-information requests.

Legal basis

Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation). Subscription takes two steps: you receive an e-mail with a confirmation link, and no newsletter is sent until you confirm.

Processor

Klaviyo (USA) — the e-mail provider that stores the list and sends the newsletter. Data is transferred to the USA under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Standard Contractual Clauses. Klaviyo privacy notice We do not use the data for any other purpose and do not pass it to anyone else.

Retention

For as long as you are subscribed. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the end. After you unsubscribe, your address stays on the suppression list only so that no further e-mails are sent. You can ask for full deletion by e-mail.

Your rights

To access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to object, and to data portability. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Write to janis@knezins.com.
